Breathwork is a type of active meditation during which you intentionally change your breathing pattern to bring connection to your body and help facilitate self-healing, release stagnant energy, calm your nervous system and connect to your deep inner wisdom. 


Breathwork’s history dates back to thousands of years ago. It’s a widely studied practice that has been known to help reduce symptoms associated with anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, depression and ADD. The science of breathwork shows that intentional breathing activates your parasympathetic nervous system, which tells your brain and body it can relax – rest and digest. We are able to slow down, connect with our intuition and make better decisions, which can lead to an over-all harmonious well-being.

What to expect :

In person: You’ll be lying down on the ground or on your bed if you are virtual or where ever you are most comfortable. Make sure to wear something warm and comfortable. Virtually, you’ll want to find a quiet, comfortable place where you can lie down and not be disturbed. In both sessions, you’ll be guided through a specific breathwork journey, based on the intention you have set for yourself. You may experience different types of emotional and physical release—which will all be discussed before we begin our breath session. You might feel a bit of a “high” after your breathwork. You might also feel depleted, depending on the work you’ve completed. Be sure to take it easy and drink lots of water after your session to help flush out your system. You may also feel called to journal your experience so you can track any insights that came up for you. As you continue your practice you will become more sensitive to the messages that are inside you, tapping back into your own power. You will leave the session feeling clear and connected and will begin to strengthen and trust your intuition more.

Contraindications of Breathwork:

Breathwork results in certain specific physiological changes in the body and also can result in intense physical and emotional release. As a precaution, the following conditions are contraindicated in certain conscious connected breathwork practices. We ask that you please check in with your doctor before starting a breathwork practice if you have any of these conditions:

·      Cardiovascular disease

·      Detached retina or glaucoma

·      Diagnosed brain or abdomen aneurysm

·      Epilepsy

·      Diagnosed bipolar or schizophrenia

·      Uncontrolled diabetes or thyroid conditions

·      High blood pressure

·      Pregnancy
